Official Philanthropy -Ovarian Cancer Awareness

Sigma Alpha Omega's national philanthropy is Ovarian Cancer Awareness! We partner with Ovarian Cancer National Alliance (OCNA) who works to spread information and research ovarian cancer. September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month.

Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month

On June 2, 2007, the sisters of Sigma Alpha Omega® voted to adopt Ovarian Cancer Awareness as our national philanthropy.  The sorority is currently working with Ovarian Cancer National Alliance.  The purpose of OCNA is to “to conquer ovarian cancer by uniting individuals and organizations in a national movement.”  We are very excited about this opportunity and are looking forward to raising awareness and funds to support this organization.

Sisters by Grace Foundation

As of June 7, 2014, The Sisters by Grace Foundation became the official charitable foundation for Sigma Alpha Omega® Christian Sorority, Inc. The Foundation functions as an alumnae-run, non-profit organization in direct support of the sisters of ΣAΩ®, and was launched June 1, 2013 after the National Board of Trustees formed a committee to establish the Foundation and its first Board of Directors. It strives to provide funds and opportunities for sister development in academics, leadership, spiritual growth, and mission work. All of these activities are designed to grow not only the relationships with our sisters, family, and friends, but also and most importantly, our relationships with Christ.

One in Christ through Unity in Sisterhood®
